To celebrate and ease students’ way into the first full week back to school, Schechter’s Student Government declared today Twin Day. Many students have taken different approaches into coordinating their outfits.Senior and Student Body President Micah Bidner expressed that, after the numerous days off from school due to the recent Jewish holidays, it's a challenge for many students to come back to school for a full week. He added that the Student Government wanted to plan something fun to “raise spirits and [have] something to look forward to” for the students.

Instead of twinning in pairs, the entire freshman class decided to wear matching red pajama pants with a black top. Grade Representative Eric Wurtzel felt that it was a good and fun way to “bring our grade together as a whole.”
Other students had a different strategy for planning their outfits. Juniors Ephraim Berman, Sam Levenson, and Brian Melzer chose an outfit based on what they already own. Berman said that they “all had polo shirts and khakis and a tie,” though the outfits varied in color.
Similarly, Adi Kramer, one of the two Bnot Sherut girls, said that she and Shira Barda both “looked for things that [they] have that are similar” and wore matching colors.
Eighth grade softball player Zoey Diamond and first grade teacher and softball coach Ms. Levine coordinated their outfits by wearing the same colored pants and a blue Schechter hoodie. While this is a rare student-teacher outfit coordination, Levine shared that she loves “building a relationship” with the girls she coaches and that the two of them had a lot of fun dressing up for Twin Day.
Students had fun participating in Twin Day and are excited for more spirit days throughout the school year.
