Snow Day & Sign-Off for Midterms

By PPN Editors

Dear Readers,

Congratulations on making it halfway through our school year (or three-fourths of the year for our seniors)! We hope that the first two quarters went well and that the rest of the school year only brings more success and joy to each of us.

These next few days are Midterms Week, but the skies knew we needed another day to study--so we were blessed with a snow day! No "Zoom school" today, so enjoy the day off playing in the snow, watching comfort movies, and preparing for tests.

Tuesday will be the Reading Day for Midterms Week with reviews and study sessions, and tests will begin on Wednesday. We are going to be signing off for the week so our reporters and editors can study. We hope everyone stays safe, enjoys the snow, and does well on their midterms. Make sure to get enough sleep, ask for help, and study your notes.

We are also grateful to announce that the body of deceased hostage Ran Gvili HY'D has been brought home for burial in Israel. After 843 days of his captivity, and 14 years of hostages including and prior to October 7, there are finally no more Israeli hostages held in Gaza. Schechter's high school student government posted on their Instagram account, "Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones as they are finally able to begin the process of mourning and remembrance. זכרונו לברכה."

We look forward to resuming coverage of our Schechter events, sports, and programs on Monday, February 2.
