Today, Drama Club held their fundraiser to raise money for the production of Mean Girls. The “On Wednesdays We Wear Pink” fundraiser featured various pink sweets and refreshments, including cookies, donuts, popcorn, candy, ice cream, and pink lemonade.

Risa Rogers, junior and Paw Print Now editor, explained the fundraiser was to raise funds "to buy props and anything else that we need to have a successful show." Rogers, who is playing Gretchen Wieners in the musical, hopes the club will "be able to use some of the money to go towards our cast party that we will be having after the show ends.”
Layna Botwinick, a sophomore, will be starring as the lead in the show as Cady Heron. She expressed she is "very satisfied" with how the fundraiser went. She added, "I am pretty sure we raised a lot of money for the show, and I’m feeling very confident that this will help with the purchasing of props and sets and whatever we need to make the show 1000 times better than it already is.”
Schechter’s Mean Girls will hit the stage on Thursday, April 4 and Sunday, April 7. The cast has been preparing their songs and choreography almost every day, and they are excited for the show! Botwinick concluded, “I'm looking forward to it, and I think everyone else should, too!”
The fundraiser will continue on Friday.
