Editor’s Note: PPN continues a tradition of winding down our year of reporting by celebrating each editor’s favorite post. We invite you to follow the link to the celebrated article.
My favorite article from this past school year has got to be "High School Students Attend Annual Retreat at Camp Ramah" written by graduating senior Hannah Fineman. Though this article does not feature a huge amount of writing/content, it beautifully encapsulates the wonders of our high school retreat and comes complete with a series of great photos from the event.
For many students, the beginning of the year signifies the commencement of intense academic rigor and studying, but for me it is one of the most exciting times of the year. During our time off in the summer, I thoroughly look forward to the start of a new school year that always involves academic, social, and emotional growth.

Most importantly, however, one of the most exciting moments of the new school year is the traditional high school retreat up at Camp Ramah in the Berkshires. There could not be a more perfect way to open up the school year then bonding and reconnecting with the entire Schechter community. Each retreat features interactive grade-bonding events, planned by that grade's respective student representatives, and an intense Battle of the Classes. Fineman perfectly captures the essence of retreat by highlighting all the amazing activities that went on such as Schechter Night Live (SNL) and all of the competitive sports that students participate in during Battle of the Classes.
As I conclude my last few days of junior year, I enjoyed rereading Fineman's article and reflecting on what an amazing, productive school year this has been. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of the dedicated Paw Print Now team, and while this might be one of the last articles I write this year, I will continue to be behind the scenes as an editor, ensuring that our prestigious publication continues its magnificent work.
My congratulations go out to Hannah Fineman on a successful tenure as a staff writer and her outstanding writing throughout the year.
