Shira's Family Visits Schechter

Today, one of Schechter’s two Bat Ami, Shira, was visited by her parents and four sisters right here on campus. Shira's family is visiting from Pardes Chana, Israel. They met and spoke with students and teachers and also toured the school.

Shira commented on her family’s visit: “It was very exciting and was very fun. They got to know the kids, the school, and my co-workers.”

Junior Mikayla Rachmanova spent a large part of her day with Shira and her family. She described the experience. “The visit went well. I think they had a positive experience," Rachmanova said. "We showed Shira’s family around the school and talked a bit about our classes. They seemed really nice and very interested." Rachmanova concluded, “I’d really like them to visit again.”

When asked if her family enjoyed the visit, Shira said, “I think they did. Yeah, they got pretty excited about meeting the people that I work with every day and the kids that I love.”

Junior Brian Melzer, who also spent time with Shira’s family, stated, “It was really nice meeting them. It was nice to finally meet them, as I heard a lot about them from Shira. I hope they come to visit again in the future.”
