Editor's Note: PPN continues a tradition of winding down our year of reporting by celebrating each editor's favorite post.
My favorite article of the year: “Schechter Students, Faculty, and Alumni Participate in Run for Israel”
by Yonatan PedramIn Yoni’s article, he wrote a thorough piece that explained, in-detail, people’s experiences during this run. Furthermore, I enjoyed how he brought multiple perspectives into his article by including both faculty and student perspectives. I also want to bring recognition to Yoni’s acknowledgement of Omer Neutra while reporting about the race. It illustrates how deeply the atrocities of October 7 impacted our Schechter community.
The most notable reason this article is my favorite, however, is how Yoni brought in Schechter’s value of Ahavat Israel, or the love of Israel, in his introduction. This portrays how committed Schechter is to its Zionist values within school while simultaneously applying this value to the larger Zionist community.
I loved reading this piece as it is a skillfully crafted article and exemplifies what PPN has to offer. I cannot wait to see what Yoni does for PPN in the future!
