Yesterday, Student Government held the Fall Fundraiser in the Wing. The Fall Fundraiser is a way for the members of Student Government to give the students fun treats while also raising money for activities throughout the rest of the year.
For the fundraiser, the Student Government sold pumpkin donuts for $2 and apple cider for $1. Sam Levenson, the treasurer of Student Government, said, “We wanted to bring a fun, festive theme, and so we got apple cider and pumpkin doughnuts.”
Both Levenson and Mr. Jeffrey Connelly, the staff advisor for Student Government, thought the event was a success. Students bought a lot of the treats that the government had laid out. Connelly commented, “Who doesn’t love a doughnut and a cup of apple cider, right?” They still have more, though, and Levenson said that they might “continue to sell in the next day or two.”
The funds raised have gone to the treasury and eventually will be used for grade events or other events the Student Government has planned. Those events are often bonding moments for the entire school and create special moments for the students.
Connelly remarked, “Stay tuned to see what Student Gov does!”
